Yellowstone was canceled months after Kevin Costner rumors surfaced.

After its November season five finale, Yellowstone will finish.

Paramount's famous Western series was canceled months after rumors that star Kevin Costner had a falling out with creator Taylor Sheridan.

The actor's other filming schedule left the Yellowstone team with little time to finish.

“The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season five of Yellowstone is an absolute lie,” Costner’s lawyer said at the time.

Sheridan confirmed a spin-off. Matthew McConaughey is rumored to star in the sequel.

“The Dutton story continues where Yellowstone ends in another epic tale. David Glasser, 101 Studios CEO, stated, "We are thrilled to bring this new journey to audiences worldwide."

The popular drama has followed the Dutton family as sixth-generation patriarch John (Costner) struggles to protect the family's huge Montana cattle ranch against a neighboring town, a Native American reservation, and America's first national park for five seasons.

Costner's 18-year-old wife Christine Baumgartner divorced last week. Their children are 12, 14, and 15.

Yellowstone will air its last episodes on Peacock in the US and Apple TV Plus in the UK on November 13 and 14.
