Cole Hauser's time as Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone is coming to an end, but he discovered a big reason to rejoice.

After fans realized that the Paramount Network series was canceled and will end with season 5 part 2 later this year, the actor shared amazing family news on Instagram.

On May 22, he posted that his son Ryland graduated high school. Cole also announced that the high school football player will attend Texas Christian University in the autumn while posing in a college shirt in the family living room.

"So very proud of my first born boy," he wrote. "Can’t wait to see your next chapter in your life @ryhauser @texaschristianuniversity... go getter killer!"

Ryland gave an impassioned response to his father's touching tribute. He thanked his mother and Cole's wife, Cynthia Daniel, "Thank you @cynhauser and @colehauser22 for creating me into the man I am today!"

The actor is starting a new chapter as Cole's family adjusts to Ryland's college life. In November, Yellowstone will conclude the Dutton family's life on the ranch.

Additionally, Deadline claimed that Matthew McConaughey will star in a December spin-off. The site also noted that "a handful of original Yellowstone cast members" may appear there, suggesting we may have more time with Rip than we think.
