UFC 288 Graphically Disses Russell Westbrook

At the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday night during UFC 288, Russell Westbrook snagged an unanticipated stray while he wasn't even inside the venue.

Daniel Cormier discussed Gilbert Burns' secrets to success during the broadcast for Saturday's UFC event,

which included headliner fights between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo.

For the audience watching on television at home, Cormier's list, which was displayed as a graphic headed "DC's Keys To Victory,

" featured three directives for Burns: "Close The Distance," "Secure Takedowns," and "Don't Be Russell Westbrook."

Burns' efforts to win the UFC championship were compared by Cormier to Westbrook's NBA career,

which has gone without a championship ring. In 2011–12, Westbrook led the Thunder to the NBA Finals,

but Oklahoma City was beaten by the Heat in five games. Since then, he hasn't returned to the Finals.
