Tom Holland's Marvel Cinematic Universe Replacement

Kamala Kahn's Ms. Marvel replaces Tom Holland's youthful Avenger. Move over Spider-Man, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel, if you're mean) is the new MCU rookie.

Screen Rant reports that Marvel needs a new actor to play Peter Parker, who has matured after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Kamala is Iman Vellani's.

Spider-Man remains in the MCU, but his function has changed. Marvel fans first met Spider-Man and Tom Holland in Captain America: Civil War. Peter Parker spent as much time admiring everyone's powers and outfits as fighting in Civil War's airport fight scene.

Peter Parker matured over three solo flicks and two more Avengers features. He was no longer star-struck by No Way Home, leaving a space in the MCU for Kamala Kahn to fill.

Spider-Man was also an audience surrogate. Peter Parker embodied moviegoers. He considers the Avengers' superhero identities "made-up names" because regular people do.

Kamala Khan may perform better than Peter did. Kamala surpasses Peter Parker's silly delight at seeing the Avengers. Kamala Khan attends AvengerCon, a fake ComicCon like the ones Marvel fans attend, in Disney Ms. Marvel.

Peter Parker idolized Iron Man like many MCU fans did. Kamala Khan elevates her idol worship. Captain Marvel images from periodicals and Kamala's drawings cover her room's walls.

Comic lovers used to buy two issues so they could read one and cut pictures from the other. Kamala Khan will make her MCU debut in The Marvels, the Captain Marvel sequel. The Marvels trailer suggests Kamala's superhero infatuation will be amplified.

The trailer shows her geeking out over meeting Nick Fury twice. She harasses him about joining the Avengers twice.
