The True Reason Kevin Costner Is Leaving 'Yellowstone'

If you quit the most popular cable program the year you win a Golden Globe, why? Have a solid reason. Horizon, Kevin Costner's epic western, seeks to match Yellowstone's popularity.

Costner supposedly promised Sheridan a week to complete shooting Season Five. The actor was working at Yellowstone and Horizon, which may have harmed his personal life.

In an interview with People, a source close to Christine Baumgartner said she requested for a divorce after becoming "unhappy" with his work schedule.

"Christine wants family time at their Santa Barbara home," the person claimed. Kevin is scarce throughout shooting. She struggles without him."

Since leaving Yellowstone, Costner has only stepped up Horizon. "I mortgaged 10 acres on the water in Santa Barbara where I was going to build my last house," he told Deadline in a joint interview with Francis Ford Coppola. I just done it.

"Even though they didn’t know that I put all my money into this thing, and I actually asked three other directors to direct it before me," Costner said, reviewers labeled Dances with Wolves "Kevin’s Gate."

“It’s ridiculous—and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for a second. As everyone who knows Kevin knows, he is tremendously enthusiastic about the program and has always gone above and beyond to assure its success.”

"I’m not a gambler," Costner told Deadline. "This may seem risky to some. It's true, but do I want to gamble in Vegas? No. I gamble differently.

I bet on storytelling. I gamble on people. If they go to the theater, I'll attempt to take care of them."
