According to a person familiar with the situation, Linda Yaccarino, a tenacious veteran of the TV ad-sales wars, is in negotiations to succeed Jack Dorsey as Twitter's CEO.
Yaccarino oversees the Comcast-owned company's global ad-sales efforts. She previously worked for a significant portion of her career
at WarnerMedia's TV operations before joining NBCUniversal last decade. She contributes to the financial strength of Peacock and
NBC among other assets. She has led efforts in recent years to expand e-commerce revenue streams and to reevaluate how the TV industry
gauges audience size for advertisers in an effort to increase the legitimacy of Madison Avenue's payment practices for those who stream their favorite shows.
A representative for NBCUniversal's ad sales division said he was unaware of any specifics relating to a change in Yaccarino's status
with the organization. According to the spokesman, Joe Benarroch, "Linda is in back-to-back rehearsals for Monday's upfront,"
referring to the yearly sales presentations that NBCU and its rivals give to advertisers each year in May.
