Cowboys Will Workout Famous College Quarterback This Weekend

One quarterback will attend Dallas Cowboys rookie minicamp this weekend.

Last month's undrafted Elon thrower Matthew McKay will throw during Cowboys minicamp.

Elon Football tweeted the news tonight.

McKay played at NC State. He redshirted in 2017 and played 11 games (five starts) in 2018-19 for the Wolfpack. 

McKay threw 997 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception vs NC State.

McKay then attended Montana State. He tossed 2,037 yards, 17 touchdowns, and three interceptions for the Bobcats in 2021.

McKay started all 12 games as quarterback for Elon in 2022, throwing 2,709 yards.

 21 touchdowns, four interceptions, 458 yards running, and three touchdowns.

Last month's NFL Draft saw the Cowboys pass on quarterbacks. Dallas has quarterbacks Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, and Will Grier.
