Katy Perry Spends $11 Million on Los Angeles Penthouse

The three-bedroom house has wood trim and a dark crimson home theater.

Katy Perry may be considering leaving "American Idol," but she just signed a contract for a $11 million Sierra Towers mansion in Los Angeles.

According to public records, the 38-year-old pop artist purchased a "junior penthouse" at the Hollywood Hills skyscraper last week using a limited liability corporation that shares an Encino, California, address with another LLC she directs. The same address is used for her shoe line.

According to property records, Jen Kao, the daughter of billionaire Garmin inventor Min Kao, sold the home. She bought the home in 2016 for $9.3 million.

The Agency ad states that the unit is 3,000 square feet with two bedrooms and three baths. The ad stated that the home was first listed in January for little under $12.5 million.

The penthouse's listing photographs reveal dark-wood floors and wood trim throughout. That features built-in shelving, a wood-framed wet bar, and wooden kitchen cabinetry.

The main area has a semi-open plan with a dining room next to the kitchen and living room and floor-to-ceiling windows that lead to a deck overlooking the city and mountains.

Perry, who is doing a residency in Las Vegas, has been in the news recently for apparently pondering ending her six-year stay on "American Idol," according to The Daily Mail.

Real estate is familiar to her. According to Mansion Global, she sold a Beverly Hills house for $18 million last summer.
