Jonathan Majors' Kang Performance Changed Marvel's Phase 5 & 6 Plan.

Marvel reportedly changed its plans as a result of Jonathan Majors' great performances in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania from Phase 5.

Phases 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe apparently underwent changes when Marvel saw Jonathan Majors' ,

performances in Loki on Disney+ and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first film in Phase 5.

Majors made his MCU debut in Loki as the He Who Remains version of Kang, which launched the Marvel Multiverse Saga.

Then, in this year's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the actor received a significant part as Kang the Conqueror,

the film's main antagonist. Majors' performance in both parts has drawn rave reviews, and precisely because of that, the MCU was profoundly altered.

Kang was not initially intended to be the focal point of the Multiverse Saga, according to Joanna Robinson,

the author of the upcoming book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, who was speaking on The Ringer's The Big Picture podcast.
