John Wick's Japanese Influence Was Celebrated by Sofia Coppola and Keanu Reeves: "I Loved It"

Keanu Reeves was excited to collaborate with Sofia Coppola, a former coworker, on a new future project.

The House of Suntory, a Japanese distiller of whisky, commissioned Coppola, 52,

and Reeves, 58, to work together on a project commemorating the company's 100th anniversary.

The stars appeared on the red carpet together on Tuesday in New York City at a function to support their Suntory Time tribute movie.

Working with the Marie Antoinette filmmaker, according to Reeves,

was an easy yes when she and Coppola first met on the set of Francis Ford Coppola's version of Bram Stoker's Dracula in the early 1990s.

Keanu Reeves revealed his response in a People interview. He stated:

It was exciting to have the opportunity to work with Sofia Coppola and [her brother] Roman Coppola on a docuseries and then a kind of short commercial.
