Gym Franchise Ordered to Pay $11.25M in Damages to Former Employee.

The woman, who has not been identified, worked as a front-desk attendant at an Equinox gym in New York City.

She was fired in 2019 after she complained about a white customer who was using a racial slur.

The jury found that Equinox had discriminated against the woman because of her race. The jury awarded the woman $1.1 million in damages.

This is the latest in a series of lawsuits against Equinox alleging racial discrimination.

In 2018, a Black man sued Equinox after he was allegedly denied entry to a gym because of his race.

In 2019, a Black woman sued Equinox after she was allegedly called a racial slur by a white employee.Equinox has denied all of the allegations of racial discrimination.

The company has said that it is committed to diversity and inclusion. However, the lawsuits have raised questions about Equinox's commitment to racial equality.

The jury's verdict in this case is a victory for the woman who was fired and for all Black people who have been discriminated against by Equinox.
