Beyoncé Honors Tina Turner With River Deep – Mountain High During Renaissance World Tour
During the UK leg of her Renaissance World Tour, Beyoncé paid tribute to the late music legend Tina Turner, who served as one of her greatest influences.
Beyoncé quickly honored the Rock 'N Roll legend on her website, as was to be expected.
At the time of her passing, she wrote, "I'm so grateful for your inspiration and all the ways you've paved the way.
"You embody fortitude and resiliency. You personify strength and passion.
We are all so fortunate to have experienced your generosity and lovely spirit, which we will never forget. I appreciate everything you've done.
She even paused on Memorial Day while performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on the first of five nights during her tour stop there.
The "Cuff It" singer performed the 1966 single "River Deep - Mountain High" with a twist, singing it more like a ballad than a fast-paced song.
