Believe it or not, director Tim Burton is reassembling the Beetlejuice cast for a new film. Beetlejuice 2 will be released in 2024 by Warner Bros., with Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their roles.
Burton has been known to use a lot of the same personnel both in front of and behind the camera, and Beetlejuice 2 seems to use many of the same people.
Danny Elfman, the composer, has already teased work on Beetlejuice 2, and now costume designer Colleen Atwood has joined the cast.
According to Variety, Atwood is the costume designer for Beetlejuice 2, and she is presently working on the film with Burton in London.
Atwood told Variety on Friday that she had just finished her first week of production.
For decades, Atwood has worked as a costume designer for Burton films. She did not collaborate with the filmmaker on the first Beetlejuice,
but she has worked on films such as Mars Attacks!, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland,
and Dumbo. She most recently worked with Burton on Wednesday, a Netflix hit starring Jenna Ortega.
